 MAINTENANCE
A correct maintenance is fundamental to achieve maximum performance in terms of functionality and aesthetics from a wood floor.
Correct maintaining guarantees life time durability of the flooring and above all permits you to obtain a better aesthetic look of your floor. A well maintained wood floor gains a lived-in and warm character which is a distinctive feature of natural wood products and contemporarily maintains its original luminosity.
Once the wood flooring is laid, it is necessary to maintain proper climatic conditions in your home: the relative humidity of air inside the rooms should be between 45% and 60%. It is therefore fundamental to insure a correct room moist also in non occupied homes. In case rugs or objects put on the floor should create colour differences on the flooring surface, these tend to disappear as soon as the floor is exposed to natural sunlight. The use of spirits, solvents, acid, bleach or excessive use of water or steam cleaners can cause irreparable damage to the finish; clean the floor with a well wrung out damp cloth, using just water or water and a suitable neutral detergent.
Every-day maintenance: all Gazzotti wood floors (Extraresistent, Vintage, My Vintage, Fashion, Classic, Old Gallery Collection) need to be cleaned using a well wrung out damp cloth with water and if necessary adding Detersave, a neutral and antibacterial detergent able to clean your floor hygienically. Shaken up well the bottle of Detersave and add 3 measuring taps for every litre of clearing water, damp the cleaning cloth, wring out well and clean the floor. In case of intense dirt the product may be used locally without dilution in water. Gazzotti’s deckings in the Free Time line need to be cleaned only with water.
Extraordinary maintenance: may be preventive in order to protect your natural wood floor or periodical any time your floor tends to turn opaque. Every product line has its specific maintenance products.

Instructions for the use of Parquet Light Gazzotti Add the contents of 4 measuring taps for every litre of clearing water. Spread the solution onto the floor with a clean and well wrung out cloth. Parquet Light Gazzotti dries on its own and does not need polishing: a floor polisher may be used in order to obtain a shinier surface. The frequency of use depends on the traffic on the floor and your necessity to restore the shine, cleanliness and protection of the floor. If necessary the product can be used also in a more concentrated solution, taking care to spread it uniformly on the surface and walking on the floor only after it has completely dried out.
