GREEN BUILDING
Gazzotti is certified according to FSC and PEFC and partner of CasaClima and affiliated to the Green Building Council Italia (LEED).
Wood is an excellent construction material, essential for life and the only constantly renewable source. Men get in contact with wood taking advantage of its thermal and aesthetic benefits: it is a proved fact that the quality of life increases in rooms with major presence of wood.
Gazzotti is convinced that this enormous heritage must be respected: a correct management of woods permits the elimination of old trees not more capable to retain carbon dioxide, and give space to new plantings.

Products of the Vintage and My Vintage lines are particularly indicated for use in Green Building. Gazzotti’s way to eco-compatibility is serious and substantial contribution to the big issues of Green Building and are described in our guideline "Vintage Gazzotti: il parquet per la bioediliza", written with the contribution of architect Paolo Rava, Professor of Architecture at the University of Ferrara, head of the course Specialization in Green Building and Energy Saving Construction, member of ANAB National Association for Bio-ecologic Architecture and coordinator of the research group Architettura+Energia at the University of Ferrara.
The guideline containing the scientifically tested eco-compatible characteristics of Vintage and My Vintage products is meant to help architects and end consumers to make a conscious choice.

Gazzotti has an active part in promoting a sustainable management of forests through its company guidelines and rules defined by the Chain of Custody certification (CoC) foreseen for the tracing of wood from the origin and source through the distribution process within PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes).
Gazzotti also has the FCS certification (Forest Stewardship Concil) in order to guarantee the origins of raw material from sustainable forests as much as possible. |

Gazzotti is member of the Green Building Council Italy.
GBA Italia is the local branch of the international administrative authority of the LEED Green Building Rating System (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). The Leed rating defines criteria for projecting and building healthy, energy saving and low environmental impact houses.
The product in Gazzotti’s Vintage and My Vintage lines contribute to obtaining LEED points tank to their ecologic contents achieved through many years of R&D.
