Characteristics

Extraresistent is the result of years of research made in order to create a wood floor that can join exrtaordinary resistance, comfort and beauty. Thanks to the wide range of products Extraresistent offers an incredible freedom of choice among three different formats and wood species of many different colors so as to personalize your own floor and adapt it to traditional or modern environments.

All products in the Extraresistent range are 2-layer parquet, this means they consist of a layer of natural wood and a stabilizing support. Launched in 1978, it was the first pre-varnished one strip 2-layer engineered flooring in the world: the brand has become synonym of this type of product.

Finish
The exclusive Extraresistent finish gives to the wood floor a very good resistence to surface scratching and guarantees an esthetics that with time extols the natural characteristics of the wood.

Flexibility and stability
The extremely flexible support makes it possible to compensate for any slight irregularities in the level of the foundation, while the perfect balance between the thickness of the noble wood and the support ensures maximum stability. No particular treatment operations are, therefore, necessary during sealing.

Fire reaction for use in public places
All the Extraresistent products*, are certified under Class Bfl-s1 (UNI EN 14342) for use in public places where safety measures are required in the event of fire(D.M. 15 March 2005). The product must be installed on non-flamable underfloors with EG ECO Gazzotti glue. A solution for the design world in order to give to theaters, hotels and restaurants all the charm, the elegance and the warmth of the wood floor.

Made in Italy
All the products in the Extraresistent Gazzotti range are manufactured in Italy in order to constantly monitor their quality: the wording "Gazzotti made in Italy" is printed underneath each individual strip. A decisive guarantee for the retailer, designer, consumer.

Norms
Extraresistent respects the norms UNI EN 13489 - prefinished multilayer Parquet.

It is realised in the best format to guarantee maximum stability and to adapt to any room and decoration style. it is particularly suitable for small or medium-size rooms.

It is the most prestigious in the range due to its particularly large size. Combining elegance and practicality, this is the ideal solution for furnishing areas of a certain importance. Reliable, technological and Extraresistent, this product is stable and easy to lay despite its size, thanks to the high degree of flexibility achieved with the correct ratio between the noble wood layer and the tachnologically suitable support.

Installation

Laying Patterns

Where

•It can be laid on concrete screeds from 5 up to 7 cm thick. Concrete screeds are suitable both traditional or quick-drying hydraulic-binder based. They must be compact, solid and flat.

•It can be laid on pre-existing floors which must be compact and properly degreased.

•It can be laid to replace carpets, after taking them off, removing all residual glue and making sure the underfloor is compact enough.

•It can be laid on an existing parquet flooring after sanding only if it is well fixed on the underfloor. The new parquet flooring must be set perpendicularly to the old one. 

•To lay it on surfaces with underfloor heating make reference to the product sheet.

How

•It must be always laid by gluing it on the underfloor preferably with EG ECO Gazzotti.

•This product is pre-finished, ready for laying and doesn't need a sealing treatment. 

•When laying, residual glue must be removed before it dries by using a clean cloth without solvent or alcohol. 

•Only the pre-sanded version needs sanding and varnishing on the premises.

When

•When building or restructuring a house, parquet laying must be the very last operation to be done before furnishing.  

•The moister content of the screed and the environmental humidity must strictly meet the requirements

Maintenance

The use of spirit, solvents, acid or bleach can cause irreparable damage to the varnishing. For maintenance of presanded products, make reference to the instructions of the surface finish producer

Accessories

Skirting Boards

They are designed for the best colour match with the parquet flooring. They are available varnished in the following versions:

Stair Profiles

Made of noble wood, already sanded and varnished. Designed for easy stairs constructions and made from the same elements as the floor, these profiles can be used with 10 or 14 mm thick floors.
They are available rounded or square(by previuos order; available in 15-20 days).

Thresholds

Extremely useful accessories for matching up slight differences in level of the finished floor. Vintage finish, non-brushed, thy are realised to match the floor characteristics.

The choice of the most appropriate glue depends on the type of floor chosen and the characteristics of the foundation. Two types of glue are available:
